Florida Sport Paddling Club is a statewide club for people who enjoy canoeing and kayaking. We also have a few out of state members. Beginners as well as experienced paddlers are welcome. It's an easygoing club that doesn't just talk about getting out on the water - we get up and go!
Our members volunteer to coordinate trips, which are publicized in our monthly newsletter. There are trips suitable for people of all skill levels. Paddles range from a lazy afternoon jaunt, to a weekend on a slow-moving subtropical Florida river, to a weeklong trip in Georgia, the Carolinas or Alabama, or farther afield in Arkansas, Missouri, Minnesota, Montana or Utah. We've even paddled on the Yukon River in Canada. Some trips include hiking or bicycling. All of our trips include good company, good conversation, and most often, good food!
There are many kayak paddling clubs to join but our club caters to kayaks and canoes. Many members own both and use the one that is best suited for the trip.
